I'm Carolyn Lee Jones and what I would like to do most – is to sing for you! PAST -   I was born and raised in Nebraska. Go Big Red! One day I hopped on a bus with 21 suitcases and boxes, $200, my best friend in tow and off we went to "Big D" yes, Dallas Texas! So why then did I end up in Dallas? I started my first professional career in retailing. I wanted to be a fashion commentator but those jobs were few and far between. So, I ended up as a buyer traveling the world and realized that retailing was just a different type of show business and similar in many ways to the music industry. Music has always been a part of my life. My Mom was an accomplished pianist and met my Dad during WWII while playing for the servicemen in Chicago. My Dad was a singer with a beautiful tenor voice. Thank heavens I got a few of their musical genes! I grew up singing in choirs and my friends were involved with music in some way. PRESENT -   A few years ago, I had a very important birthday, and decided it was now or never. I would perform, as I had always wanted to, live with a full band as the main vocalist. I had the good fortune of meeting Julie Bonk, pianist and bandleader, (who was Norah Jones' jazz piano tutor in Dallas). Julie and our mutual friend Doug Morris, a bass player and also a bandleader, helped me get my charts together and away we went! The party was a success and a new singer and performer was born! I have performed at some fine Cabarets, public venues and private parties from Paris to NYC and of course in Dallas. My first Jazz CD - BON APPETIT! was recorded in New York City and is being released in 2008. FUTURE -   My glass is always more than half full. In fact it is always overflowing! I love life and everything it has to offer and I must say, life has been very good to me. So call me, I would love to sing for you!
